Féile Dhrámaíochta Chorcaí

Fé mar is eol daoibh ghlac Rang1 & 2 agus Rang 2 & 3 i bhFéile Dhrámaíochta Chorcaí an Sathairn seo chaite. D'eirigh go hiontach leis na páistí ar fad ann agus bhíomar an-bródúil astu. Bhí iompar na bpáistí an-mhaith agus táim chomh sásta gur féidir linn braith ar n páistí chun a bheith ag caint as Gaeilge ag ócáidí ag a bhfuil Gaelscoil Chionn tSáile gafa iontu. Maith sibh ar fad a pháistí! Tá sibh go hiontach.
Bhí an caighdeán an-árd go deo. Níor mhaith liomsa a bheith ag piocadh amach na grúpaí le dul ar aghaidh ach deineadh cinneadh go rachaidh grúpa Rang 1 & 2 ar aghaidh go dtí an gCraobh Náisiúnta! Chomhgháirdeas leo! Mí-ádh le Rang 2 & 3. Dúirt an moltóir go raibh an iomaíocht an-cóngaireach ach nár eirigh leo an t-am seo. Táim cinnte gur bhain siad taitneamh as an gcomórtas agus as an Drámaíocht ar fad. Beidh ceiliúradh acu sa rang ar an Aoine mar cineál bualadh bos dóibh.
Beidh a thuilleadh eolas againn faoi na socraithe don gComórtas go luath. Maith sibh ar fad!

Maidir le Mórshiúl Lá 'le Pádraig. Beidh beirt tuismitheoir ag teastáil chun siúl leis na páistí liom féin agus le Múinteoir Siobhán Ní Núnáin.

As you all know, the children from 1st & 2nd class and 2nd & 3rd class all participated in the Féile Dhrámaíochta Chorcaí last Saturday. All the children performed so well whilst on stage and also whilst waiting to go onstage. They were so well behaved and we were so proud to be able to depend on them to speak in Irish whilst representing Gaelscoil Chionn tSáile at any event. Well done children, you are all super! I'm so proud of them.
The standard of the plays/performances was very very high. It was our first year participating so it was a real eye-opener. I don't envy the judge who had to pick the winners. He decided to put the 1st & 2nd class group forward to the All-Ireland competition! Congratulations to them! It's such an incredible achievement for our very first time entering! Hard luck to the 2nd & 3rd class group. The judge said the competition was very close and there was only afew points between them and the group going forward. On the other hand I'm certain they all enjoyed participating in the competition and the excitement it entailed. They will be having a class party on Friday as a sort of clap on the back for doing so well.
We will keep you informed about the arrangements for the Nationals as soon as we hear. Well done to the children and also to Múinteoirí Siobhán, Ciara, Alma agus Siobhán Ní Bhruacháin who worked so hard on the productions. Ní neart go cur le chéile!

We will need 2 parents to walk with the children along with myself and Muinteoir Siobhán Ní Núnáin on Saturday for the St Patrick's Day parade. Please see the email from the organisers for more info.
