Tuismitheoirí Naíonáin Bheaga / Parents of Junior Infants

Tá páiste sa rang go bhfuil aileargé anafalachtach aici i leith síolta sesame agus cnóite de gach saghas. Dá bhrí sin níl aon bhianna le síolta nó cnóite nó na táirgí féin ceadaithe sa rang in aon chorr. Beidh Múinteoir Ciara ag coiméad súil ar na boscaí loin. Tá an aileargé seo marfach. Impímid oraibh a bheith díograiseach faoi na bianna atá á cur sna boscaí loin.

Dear Parents,

This letter is to inform you that a student in your child's classroom has a severe tree nut allergy – especially to peanut/nuts and sesame seeds.  Strict avoidance of peanut/nuts and sesame seed products is the only way to prevent a life threatening allergic reaction. We are asking your assistance in providing the student with a safe learning environment.

If exposed to peanuts/nuts or sesame seeds the student may develop a life threatening allergic reaction that requires emergency medical treatment. The greatest potential for exposure at school is to peanut products and nut products. Any exposure to peanut/ nuts or sesame seeds through contact on ingestion can cause a severe reaction. If your child has eaten peanuts/nuts or sesame seeds prior to coming to school please be sure your child's hands have been thoroughly washed prior to entering the school.

We appreciate your support of these procedures. Please complete and return the hard copy of this form that is in your child's bag so that we are certain that every family has received this information. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Is mise le meas

Michelle Ní Riagáin
