Féinmheastóireacht Scoile/ School Self Evaluation: 

Is éard is féinmheastóireacht scoile (FMS nó SSE i mBéarla) ann ná próiseas comhoibríoch, uileghabhálach agus athmhachnamhach den athbhreithniú inmheánach scoile. Le linn na féinmheastóireachta scoile beidh an príomhoide, an príomhoide tánaisteach agus na múinteoirí, faoi stiúr an bhoird bhainistíochta agus an phátrúin agus i gcomhairle le tuismitheoirí agus le daltaí, páirteach i bhfiosrú athmhachnamhach ar obair na scoile. Agus iad ag gabháil don fhéinmheastóireacht scoile déanann scoileanna athmhachnamh ar a n-aidhmeanna, machnamh ar chritéir ratha laistigh de chomhthéacs agus éiteas na scoile, agus tagann siad ar mhodhanna cuí chun cáilíocht an tsoláthair oideachais sa scoil a mheas. Cur chuige fianaise-bhunaithe is ea é ina mbailítear fianaise ó réimse d'fhoinsí agus ina ndéantar breithiúnais chun feabhsúcháin a chur i bhfeidhm ar fhoghlaim na ndaltaí. 


School self-evaluation is a collaborative, inclusive, reflective process of internal school review. During school self-evaluation the principal, deputy principal and teachers, under the direction of the board of management and the patron and in consultation with parents and pupils, engage in reflective enquiry on the work of the school. When engaging in school self-evaluation, schools reflect on their aims, consider criteria for success within the school's context and ethos, and determine appropriate methods for judging the quality of educational provision in the school. It is an evidence-based approach which involves gathering evidence from a range of sources and making judgements with a view to bringing about improvements in pupils' learning.

Sa scoilbhliain 2012/13, chuireamar tús le próiseas na féinmheastóireachta scoile. Roghnaíomar an litearthacht (Gaeilge) réimse fócais d'fhéinmheastóireacht scoile.


Tá an plean feabhsúcháin don Ghaeilge á chur i bhfeidhm sa scoil ó tús 2014.


Sa scoibhliain seo 2014/2015 beimíd ag tabhairt faoi fhéinmheastóireacht a dhéanamh ar an uimhearthacht.

Plean Feabhsúcháin Scoile anseo

During the schoolyear 2012/2013, we began the process of school self evaluation. We chose literacy in Irish- accuracy in spoken Irish in particular as the first area to focus on. 

Through the parents survey, pupil survey and staff meetings, we have devised a Self Evaluation Report and a School improvement plan for Irish language literacy. It is an ongoing process that began last year and will continue on to 2016.

This schoolyear 2014/2015 we have also focused on Numeracy- problem solving. We will publish our tuairisc FMS and PFS for Numeracy in the coming weeks.
