Seachtain Folláine 2021

 

Rinneamar ceiliúradh ar Seachtain Folláine an tseachtain seo caite mar chuid den ar n-iarrachtaí don Brat Amber. Gach lá d’fhéachamar ar téamaí difriúla cósúil le Cáirdeas, Buíochas, Aireachas agus Aclaíocht agus Bia Sláintiúla.

Mar cuid den ócáid chaitheamar deich nóiméad gach maidin ag dathú agus d’éistíomar le ceol. Scríobhamar cártaí do dhaoine chun buíochas a ghabháil leo. Rinneamar ceacht lasmuigh sa ghrian. Fuaireamar cuairt ó K.Y.S.S a labhair linn faoi na rudaí a dhéanann siad do dhaoine óige i gCionn tSáile. Chaitheamar éadaí buí ar an Aoine agus bhailíomar airgead ar son Pieta House agus K.Y.S.S. Rith gach duine 1km timpeall na scoile agus ghlacamar páirt i gcúrsa bac. Chun críoch a chur leis an ócáid bhlasamar go leor torthaí agus glasraí deasa. Bhí spraoi iontach againn ar fad.

 

Last week we celebrated Seachtain Folláine as part of the school’s efforts to gain our Amber Flag. Each day we looked at different themes such as Friendship, Gratitude, Mindfulness, Exercise and Healthy Eating.

As part of the celebrations we spent ten minutes each day colouring and listening to music. We wrote thank you cards to people. We enjoyed classes outside in the sun. We were visited by K.Y.S.S who explained what they do for young people in Kinsale.  On Friday we all wore yellow clothes and raised money on behalf of Pieta House and K.Y.S.S. We all ran 1km around the school and participated in an obstacle course. At the end of our celebrations we tasted lots of different fruits and vegetables. We had lots of fun.

Bailiúcháin Éadaí / Clothes Collection

Beidh bailiúcháin éadaí eile againn ar an 16ú Meitheamh, 2021.

Blianta an-dúshlánacha ab ea 2020 agus 2021 dúinn go léir agus, mar scoil, is beag is féidir linn a dhéanamh ó thaobh gníomhaíochtaí tiomdaithe airgid de.

Ionas go neirimíd go maith leis an bailúcháin seo taimid ag lorg  4 mhálaí móra d'éadaí in-athúsáide, bróga péireáilte, málaí láimhe, criosanna, túáilithe, cuirtíní agus blaincéidí (deis iontach do glanadh amach ceart)

Seans chomh maith go bhfuil comharsanna agus cairde gur mhaith leo bheith páirteach ann agus má tá sibh in ann an focal a scaipeadh, bheimís an-sásta. An mó málaí a fhaighimid is ea is mó airgid a bheidh againn! 🤑💰💸

Dear Parents,

We are holding a clothing collection on 16th June, 2021 

The last year has been a very challenging year for us all and as a school has been very limited to what fundraising we can do to keep funds flowing.  For this collection to be a success we are asking parents, if possible, to donate approx. 4 large black bags of re-wearable clothing, paired shoes, handbags, belts, towels, curtains, and blankets. A super opportunity for a good clearout!  

We also anticipate that you may have neighbours and friends that may like to get involved and if you can spread the word we would be delighted.  The more bags we get the more funds we make! 🤑💰💸

Ó Choiste na dTuistí / From the Parents Association:

Pieta/ KYSS fundraiser

In conjunction with the wonderful fundraising efforts being carried out by the children of R5/R6 for Pieta House and KYSS, the Parents Association will be raffling off a hamper to further support these fantastic organisations.

Tickets will be €2 each or 3 for €5. To purchase, please send money in a sealed envelope with name, telephone number, and email to school from Wednesday 5th to Friday 7th.
