Tá dea-scéal agam daoibh! Tá suíomh idirlíon na scoile ullamh le cuairt a thabhairt air ag gaelscoilchionntsaile.ie Táimid fós ag obair air agus beimíd ag cur leis go leanúnach. Táim fíor-bhuíoch as Darren de Burca, daidí le Sorcha (Naí Mhóra) agus Áine (Rang 1) a chur é le chéile agus a d’eagraigh gach rud. Táimíd ag iarraidh snas ealaíonta a cur air áfach mar sin táim ag lorg cabhair tuismitheoir go bhfuil fios na gnó seo acu. Más dóigh leat gur féidir cabhrú linn tar chugam nuair atá deis agat led’ thoil. Beidh fógraí á cur agam ar an cuid “nuacht” de go mion minic mar sin molaim daoibh dul i dtaithí ar an suíomh a sheiceáil go minic. Aon litir a cuirim abhaile beidh sé le fheiscint ar an suíomh chomh maith.

Tá sé socraithe go rachfaidh na páistí go dtí an Haven Bay Residential Centre ar an Aoine seo chugainn ag 11:30 chun amhráin Nollag a canadh / sheinnt. Rinneamar seo an bhliain seo chaite agus bhain gach duine idir páistí agus seanóirí an-taitneamh as.

Tá seans ann go mbeimíd beagáinín déanach ach déanfar gach iarracht gan a bheith. Tá coiste na dtuismitheoirí chun íoc as an dá bhus. Buíochas mór leo. Fágann sin go mbeidh costas €10 ar an turas. Beidh roinnt tuismitheoirí ag teastáil uainn chun cabhrú ar an lá. Más féidir leat teacht abair le Hilda led’ thoil! Líon an fhoirm thíos agus seol isteach an t-airgead roimh an Mháirt le bhur tdola.

Tá díomá fós orainn nár éirigh linn ár gCeolchoirm an Nollag a cur ar siúl. Tá sé ar intinn againn seirbhís carúil a cur ar siúl sa scoil maidin an 23ú Nollag ag 9:00 ionas go mbeidh seans ag na páistí na hamhráin Nollag a canadh daoibh. Ní Leanfaidh sé ach 10-15 nóiméad agus táim cinnte go mbainfidh sibh go léir taitneamh taitneamh as. An lá deirneach beidh cead ag na páistí bréagán amháin agus roinnt rudaí deasa do féasta ranga a thabhairt leo. Beidh cuairteoir speisialta ag teacht chugainn ar an la deirneach…..!

Tá na hirisleabhair Súgradh agus Spraoi ar fáil arís. Beidh Hilda ag cur an ordú isteach ar an Aoine mar sin abair léi roimh an Aoine má tá ceann uait. Tá €5 orthu.

Tá feilirí Cionn tSáile CLG ar fáil chomh maith. €7. Tá go leoir griangrafanna d’ár bpáistí ann.

Beidh leathlá againn ar an Déardaoin an 23ú Nollag. Rachaidh na páistí abhaile ag 12:00.

Nollaig Shona Daoibh!

Dear Parents! I have good news for you! The school website is ready to visit at gaelscoilchionntsaile.ie. We are still working on it and we will be adding to it continually. I am very thankful to Darren de Burca, Sorcha’s (Senior infants) and Áine’s (1^st Class) daddy who put it all together and organised everything. We are trying to give it an artistic touch however so I am looking for help from a parent who is knowledgeable in this area. If you feel you can help us please call to me when you have a chance. I will be posting notices in the “news” section very often so I encourage you to get used to checking the site regularly. You will see any letter I send home on the website also.We have planned that the children will go to Haven bay Residential Centre on Friday next at 11:30 to sing / play Christmas carols. We did this last year and everyone old and young really enjoyed it. We have organised for the children to go ice-skating next Wednesday. School will be starting at the usual time. Two buses will leave the school at 9:15, the skating will be from 11 to 12 and they will return to the school at 1:30 please God. We may be a little late but we will make every effort not to be. The parent’s association are paying for the bus. Many thanks to them. That leaves a cost of €10 for the trip. We will need some parents to help on the day. If you can come please tell Hilda! Please send permission slip below and money in before Tuesday. We are still disappointed that we didn’t succeed in having the Christmas Concert. We will put on a carol service in the school on the morning of the 23^rd at 9:00 so the children have a chance to sing Christmas carols for you. It will only last for 10-15 minutes and I’m sure you will all enjoy it. On the last day the children have permission to bring in one toy and some nice things for a class party. We have a special visitor coming on the last day….! The Súgradh and Spraoi annuals are available again. Hilda will be making the order on Friday so tell her before Friday if you want one. They are €5 each. The Kinsale GAA calendar is also available. €7. There are a lot of photos of our children in it. We will have a half day on Thursday 23^rd Dec. The children will go home at 12:00. Amannta Oscailt na Scoile

A thuistí! Táim ag súil go nosclóidh an scoil ag an gnáth am, 08.50, an Luan seo chugainn, 13ú Nollag. Beidh an múinteoir ceoil, Ciara O Halloran ag teacht ar an Luan agus ar an Aoine chun an rang a chailleadh an Luan seo chaite (1/12/'10) a dhéanamh suas. Tá sí chun costas an chéad rang a chailleadh a bhaint ó bille an téarma seo chugainn chomh maith.

Dear parents! I am hoping that the school will be back to the normal opening time, 08.50, from next Monday, 13th December. The violin teacher, Ciara O Halloran will be giving her normal violin class Monday morning and also an extra class on Friday 17th to make up for one lost class (Mon 1st Dec). Ciara has also agreed to deduct the price of one class from next term's bill to compensate forthe other missed class.

School re-opening Tuesday 30th Nov at 11am - weather permitting

Weather permitting, Gaelscoil Chionn tSáile will open again tomorrow at 11am.  Parents will receive a text message from the principal if the opening is delayed.

Max's "Fun" raising!..Dish washer needed for Thursday night

Max’s are in need of a dish-washer (or two) for Thursday night 6.30-9.00 and 9.00-Close. If you would like to participate give Annemarie a call or e-mail me Gwen at gwenburke@gmail.com. There are also some tables open for reservations at 6.00pm Thursday if you are interested in a superb dinner at this top quality establishment.

Rang 1 fheadóg stáin / First class tin whistle lessons

We are beginning tin whistle lessons this year in Rang 1. The school has already purchased them so please hand in €6.95 to Hilda if you child does not own a tin whistle.

Corn Sam Maguire / Sam Maguire Cup - Wednesday 17th Nov 2010

Tá an  Corn Sam Maguire ag teacht ar an 17 Samhain!!


The Sam Maguire Cup is coming to the school on 17th November.


Children have permission to wear any red clothes to school for the event.

Bosco Bróga / Christmas Shoe Boxes / Team Hope

This year, again, we are going to take part in the "Christmas Shoe box Appeal".   It has changed its name to "Team Hope".  We always do really well with this project so we are expecting lots of boxes this year!!  The boxes are to be collected this Friday, the 12th November 2010, so please send them in as soon as possible.
