Míoltóga Gruaige / Head Lice
A thuistí,
Cuireadh ar an eolas mé go raibh cás míoltóga ghruaige sa scoil. Scrúdaigh gruaig do pháiste anocht agus cuir an leigheas cuí air más gá.
Chun na míoltóga gruaige a sheachaint chabhrófar gruaig na gcailíní a chur suas agus banda gruaige leathan a chaitheamh.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh!
Dear parents, I have been informed of a case of headlice in the school. Please check your child's hair tonight and treat it if necessary. To avoid the head lice it would help to put up the girls' hair and for them to wear a wide hairband. Thanking you all in advance!

HSE FORMS - Na Naíonáin Shínsearacha agus Shóisearacha / Senior and Junior Infants
Tá foirmeanna Feidhmeannacht na Seirbhíse Sláinte seolta abhaile inniu sna málaí scoile na Naíonáin. Líonaigí isteach agus seolaigí ar ais iad le bhur dtola má theastaíonn nó muna dteastaíonn uaibh an seirbhís seo a úsáid.
HSE forms have been sent home in the Infants schoolbags today. Please fill them in and send them back whether or not you want to use this service.

Íocaíochtaí & Admháileacha na scoile / School Payments & Receipts
Tá clúdaigh litreach againn anois chun airgead a chur isteach iontu le haghaidh gach costas scoile. Tá siad suite taobh amuigh den oifig. Ba cheart daoibh na sonraí go léir a scríobh amach (Ainm an páiste, an méid, an dáta agus síníú an tuismitheora) Ansin gheobhaidh sibh admháil. Muna bhfuil Hilda san oifig is féidir iad a fhágaint sa bhosca phoist atá lonnaithe faoi na clúdaigh litreach (Go raibh maith agat, Valerie Desmond as ucht an smaoineamh seo!)
Má tá sibh ag íoc as an veidhlín, piano nó ranganna mar sin, is féidir libh na clúdaigh litreacha seo a úsáid chomh maith ach gheobhaidh sibh an admháil ón múinteoir sin.
We now have payment envelopes for all payments to the school. They are available on a shelf outside the office. You should put all the payment details on the envelope (Child's name, the amount, the date and parents signature). Then you will receive a receipt. If Hilda is not in the office you can leave the payment in the post box that is located underneath the envelopes. (Thank you, Valerie Desmond for this idea!).
If you are paying for violin, piano or other such classes, you can still use these envelopes but you will receive a receipt from that teacher.
Go raibh maith agaibh!

An Chéad Comaoineach / First Holy Communion
A thuismitheoirí,
Mar is eol do thuismitheoirí páistí atá ag ullmhú don gcéad comaoineach i mbliana tá an dáta socraithe don gCéad Comaoineach. 'Sí an Sathairn an Sathairn an 19ú Bealtaine. Tá na hullmhúcháin faoi lánseoil faoi láithir agus guím gach rath orthu. Is dócha go bhfuil daoine ag déanamh a n-ullmhúcháin féin don ocáid agus tá cloiste agam nach bhfuil daoine cinnte faoi cad a bheidh á caitheamh ag na leanaí ar an lá. Shocraidh an Bord Bainistíochta anuiridh go mbeadh na buachaillí ar fad ag caitheamh an éide scoile le bléasar roghnach agus go mbeadh cead ag na cailíní an éide scoile a chaitheamh (le bléasar roghnach) nó an gúna traduisiúnta a chaitheamh. Chuaigh mé i dteangbháil le Marks and Spencers faoin mbléasar agus dúradar nach bhfuil cinn acu faoi láithir ach go mbeidís ag teacht isteach nó go bhféadfaí iad a ordú gan deacracht. Tá súil agam go soiléireann sé sin cúrsaí éadaí do dhaoine.
Dear parents,
As the parents of children preparing for First Holy Communion this year know, the date for the First Holy Communion is set, Saturday 19th May. The preparations are well underway now and I wish them all the best. I presume people are doing their own preparations for the occasion and I have heard that people aren't sure about what the children will be wearing on the day. The Board of Management decided last year that all the boys would be wearing the school uniform with an optional blaser and the girls would be allowed to wear the school uniform (with an optional blaser) or the traditional dress.
I contacted Marks and Spensers about the blaser and they said they don't have them at present but that they would be coming in or they could be ordered without difficulty. I hope that this clarifies the clothes issue for people.
