Boscaí Lóin

Ba mhaith leis an gCoiste Glas ár mbuíochas a ghabháil (Thank you) chuig na tuismitheoirí ar fad nár úsáid scragall stáin an tseachtain seo caite 2-6/02/15. (for not using aluminium foil.)

Mhol tuismitheoirí sa suirbhé agus mhol an saineolaí a tháinig chugainn chun caint linn chun cosc iomlán a chur ar scragall stáin agus scannán cumhdaithe.
(In our survey, some parents suggested that we prohibit the use of aluminium foil for wrapping food completely. Our guest speaker, an expert in recycling, said that cling film is not recyclable and not very reusable.)

Tá an cinneadh déanta againn chun a bheith i gcoinne scragall stáin agus scannán cumhdaithe sa scoil as seo amach.

We have decided to strongly discourage the use of aluminium foil and cling film to wrap food in our school from now on.

Tuigimid go bhfuil sé seo an-bhearránach. (We understand that this is inconvenient for parents.) Ach, táimíd ag impí oraibh chun tacú linn. Tá a lán scoileanna ar fud an domhan ag spreagadh páistí chun 'bia nocht' a ithe don lón.
(However, this move has been made by many primary schools all around the world and is referred to as 'nude food' or 'litterless lunch.' We are encouraging parents and guardians to use reusable pouches and cases when packing lunches.)

An Coiste Glas :-)
