Gaelscoil Chionn tSáile ABÚÚÚÚÚ

Dear Green-Schools co-ordinator,

I am delighted to inform you that your application for your Green Flag has been successful. Your assessor and the team at Green-Schools were very impressed with your application, congratulations! Please pass on all our thanks to all the hard-working members of your Green-Schools committees, and everyone in the school.

You all deserve a huge amount of credit for your efforts. The work that you are doing is really having a positive impact, and when the work of all schools is combined it’s truly amazing!

As the deadline was extended until the end of June, we hope to celebrate with all awarded schools in September. Further details about our virtual ceremony will follow. We will ensure you receive your Green Flag and certificate in September and hope that you can celebrate with a flag raising in your own school then.

Congratulations again on your success.

Toradh don mBailiúcháin Éadaí / Clothes Collection Outcome

Ba mhaith linn ár mór-bhuíochas a ghabháil daoibh don éifeacht ollmhór a rinne sibh go léir le haghaidh an bailiúcháin éadaí inné. 1,750kg in iomlán. Tá sé sin dochreidte - an bailiúcháin deirneach dúbailte! Ba bheag nach raibh spás sa veain a tháinig chun é a bhailiú! Go raibh míle maith agaibh. Ár mbuíochas chomh maith dosna cailíní i rang a 6 a d'oibrigh go dian ag iompar na málaí agus ag seiceáil an meachain. Tiocfaidh an t-airgead isteach i gcúntas na scoile tar éis tamail agus cuirfimid ar an eolas sibh ansin an méid a dheineamar. Tá súil againn go mbeidh an chéad bailiúcháin eile i Mí Dheireadh Fómhair seo chugainn (2021).

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the huge effort that you all made for the clothes collection yesterday. 1,750 kg in total. It is amazing - over double the last collection ! There almost wasn't space in the van that came to collect it. Thank you all so much. Our thanks also to the girls in 6th class who worked hard in loading the bags and checking the weight. The money will be transferred into the school bank account after a while and we will let you know then how much we made. We hope to have the next collection next October (2021).

Pieta House Amber Flag - 2021 Rang a 5 & 6

Dia dhaoibh gach duine,

As you know, Rang a 5 and Rang a 6 were working towards obtaining the Pieta House Amber Flag. The objective of this flag is to promote positive mental wellbeing at school. Rang a 5 and 6 organised a wellness week for the entire school to take part in and we all enjoyed it.

We also organised a fundraiser in aid of Pieta House and Kinsale Youth Support Service and we raised over €1,300. This money has been split evenly between both organisations. I want to say a big thank you to the parents association who had a massive roll in organising the fund raiser and thank you to everyone who donated to the cause.

Mar is eol daoibh, bhí Rang a 5 agus Rang a 6 ag obair i dtreo Brat Ómra ó Pieta House. Is é cuspóir na brataí seo folláine mheabhrach dhearfach a chur chun cinn ar scoil. D'eagraigh Rang a 5 agus 6 seachtain folláine don scoil ar fad páirt a ghlacadh ann agus bhaineamar go léir taitneamh as.

D'eagraíomar bailliúchán airgid freisin chun cabhrú le Pieta House agus Kinsale Youth Support Service (KYSS) agus bhailíomar os cionn € 1,300. Tá an t-airgead seo roinnte go cothrom idir an dá eagraíocht. Ba mhaith liom buíochas mór a ghabháil le cumann na dtuismitheoirí a raibh rolla ollmhór acu ag eagrú an bailliúchán agus buíochas le gach duine a thug airgead dúinn!

Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir,

Rang a 5 & 6 agus Múinteoirí Selina, Aodán agus Jennifer

Bailiúcháin Éadaí AMÁRACH / Clothes Collection TOMORROW

Maidin AMÁRACH / TOMORROW morning

08.30 a.m. go 01.30pm

Beidh BAILIÚCHÁIN ÉADAÍ eile againn ar an 16ú Meitheamh, 2021.

Blianta an-dúshlánacha ab ea 2020 agus 2021 dúinn go léir agus, mar scoil, is beag is féidir linn a dhéanamh ó thaobh gníomhaíochtaí tiomdaithe airgid de.

Ionas go neirimíd go maith leis an bailúcháin seo taimid ag lorg  4 mhálaí móra d'éadaí in-athúsáide, bróga péireáilte, málaí láimhe, criosanna, túáilithe, cuirtíní agus blaincéidí (deis iontach do glanadh amach ceart)

Seans chomh maith go bhfuil comharsanna agus cairde gur mhaith leo bheith páirteach ann agus má tá sibh in ann an focal a scaipeadh, bheimís an-sásta. An mó málaí a fhaighimid is ea is mó airgid a bheidh againn! 🤑💰💸

Dear Parents,

We are holding a CLOTHING COLLECTION on 16th June, 2021
The last year has been a very challenging year for us all and as a school has been very limited to what fundraising we can do to keep funds flowing.  For this collection to be a success we are asking parents, if possible, to donate approx. 4 large black bags of re-wearable clothing, paired shoes, handbags, belts, towels, curtains, and blankets. A super opportunity for a good clear out!
We also anticipate that you may have neighbours and friends that may like to get involved and if you can spread the word we would be delighted.  The more bags we get the more funds we make! 🤑💰💸
